Jorge Martins Rosa (Lisbon, 1972) holds a PhD in Communication Sciences from Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (2007). Currently an associate professor in the Communication Sciences Department of NOVA FCSH and local coordinator of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Transition, Innovation and Sustainability Environments (European consortium led by University for Continuing Education Krems, Austria). Researcher at CESEM (Centre for Music Studies), and collaborator of ICNOVA (NOVA’s Institute of Communication). Principal Investigator of the funded research projects “Fiction and the Roots of Cyberculture” (2010-2012), and “Political Interest Networks in Facebook Portugal” (2018-2022). Teaches and researches on subjects such as cyberculture, digital media and pop culture.
